Cathal Grant is a board certified psychiatrist who has helped his patients in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex since 1991. Among his many specialties, Dr. Grant treats adult and adolescent ADHD and ADD in addition to depression and bipolar disorder; anger management and impulsive disorders; anxiety disorders; addiction and alcohol abuse, including opiate painkiller addiction and practices suboxone and pain management; psychotic and behavioral disorders, including schizophrenia; and personality disorders.
Dr. Grant grew up in Ireland. He earned his medical degree from Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and has been practicing psychiatry since 1982. He became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (London) in 1986 before moving to Houston, Texas, to complete a residency in Psychiatry at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry in 1990 and entered private practice the following year.
